The BASC Airgun Coach training is designed to enable you, the coach, to raise standards in airgun use by delivering effective training. The course consists of five modules each concentrating on aspects of coaching that we believe are necessary to lead to an all-round improvement in airgun use in Britain.
In coming to this course you will not be a novice. If you do not know much about airgun or have little experience either in their use or a similar discipline then this course will probably be unsuitable for you. The course is not about teaching you how to shoot, but will give you all the basic information to fill in the gaps in your knowledge in these areas and probably act as a manual for the future.
Much of the curriculum consists of subject areas beyond those normally associated purely with how to train. This is because it is essential the modern airgun coach is equipped as an all-rounder that can meet the challenges of providing training in a great variety of situations; and who can also represent the sport itself.
The course is delivered module by module; each delivered as you complete the previous one. You have module one in this pack covering safety.

There are also two training events, one at the start of module two consisting of two days and one at the end of module five consisting of one day. These allow you to practice some of the skills you gain through the distance learning. You will receive details on how to obtain these when you reach the relevant parts of the training course.
